Creating customized college admission strategies for Charlotte students and families

The landscape for admission to college has become increasingly complex and difficult to navigate. But with coaching and encouragement, you can minimize the stress and find the school that is a perfect fit.

The program emphasizes three pillars for success:

EMBRACE THE JOURNEY

Searching for the college that is the perfect fit presents a tremendous opportunity for self-discovery. When students are empowered to lead the process, they acquire skills that are invaluable.

BE AUTHENTIC

The strongest applications are authentic and genuinely showcase the student’s interests and talents. I work with students to ensure that their application best demonstrates how they will contribute to the community wherever they land.

TELL YOUR STORY

I work with students to find their voice so that their entire application reflects their story and enables them to stand out in the crowd.

Building upon my background in admissions, marketing, and writing, I established an independent educational consulting practice in 2017 to assist students and parents in the college admission process.

I am an associate member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) and in the summer of 2018, I attended the IECA Summer Training Institute. In addition, I regularly visit schools and meet with admissions personnel to stay current on the rapidly-evolving world of college admission.

My philosophy is that the college search should be student-directed with support from parents and mentors. It’s a time to cast a wide net, embrace the journey and develop skills for success in college and beyond.

Today’s students can quickly be overwhelmed by both the process and expectations surrounding the search for schools. Having a coach who can objectively assist in creating a strategy for the process can relieve anxiety and help students manage the process while setting and achieving manageable goals.
